The History Of Elite Nation
Our story begins back in 1996-1998.
It all started when the two original leaders of eN met.
Apex and Behfar
These two met in Clan C)A- (Chaos Army), Behfar was browsing the UMS
games on Brood War when he saw a game called "New Map Help Test".
Behfar felt like playing something new, he joined the game. Hosting the
game was C)A-Forbiddener, Behfar was currently clan-less, after the
game Behfar asked to join clan C)A, Forbiddener graciously accepted.
When Behfar (now C)A-Behfar) joined the channel, he saw none other than
C)A's leader, C)A-Apex. Apex and Behfar became friends, when Behfar
quit C)A and wanted to rejoin, Apex was not impressed, but let him back
in anyway. After 2 successful years of clan Chaos Army, Apex was
getting tired of battle.net and started to find other things to do,
leaving C)A to die without its tremendously superb leadership.
The World-Edit Squad, Clan EcT, and Clan eN
January 2004
(Behfar's side) Behfar
was now in Clan [DA] (Dark Angels). He had decided to make a squad with
a couple of his friends in the clan, the squad was for map-making, it
was called the World-Edit Squad (Original eh?). Behfar and his friends
then got the idea to create their own clan since Behfar recently
acquired his first set of clan scripts. With DA behind him, Behfar
created Clan EcT (forgot the actual name). Shortly after Clan EcT was
created, Behfar received an email from Apex. Apex told Behfar that he
was in a CS clan called Clan Elite Nation and that they wanted to
expand to Battle.net. Apex was giving Behfar the opportunity to be the
leader of Elite Nation on Battle.net. After some thought, Behfar
accepted. The members of Clan EcT (after some convincing) joined Elite
Nation.
The New Clan eN
February 2004
The first ever channel was Op Elite[Nation] and the tag was [eN]. eN
acquired some GoW veterans (Heav[eN] and Badass[eN]). With the help of
Fantasy[eN] (Not to be confused with eN.Fantasy90, who was a complete
reject) eN got its new channel, Clan eN. Behfar held the chieftain. It
was decided to change the tag to eN. Instead of [eN]. After a while, eN
CS died and eN became mostly Battle.net, with the reunited Apex and
Behfar as the leaders. Heav[eN] Changed his name to eN.God then to
eN.Heaven. Badass[eN] quit. Elite Nation was in a state or prosperity.
In June 2004, eN was at an astonishing 250 members in its 4 months of
existence, including eN.Pinkkitty, eN.thejoker, eN.the_mofo,
eN.Gribbleman, eN.Kwar, eN.Starth, eN.Vaunt, eN.Jake, and
eN.evilflamez.
The Fall of Elite Nation
June - October 2004
Clan eN had become fond of warring with other clans for no reason,
which made eN a target and that only got the clan angrier. What goes up
must come down, the roller coaster that was steadily climbing the slope
of success was now quickly accelerating back towards the earth. In
September, eN.Heaven had left the clan because of family issues. A
couple months later, eN.Gribbleman had quit and went off to create his
own clan. The commanders of eN at this time were eN.Apex, eN.Behfar,
eN.Fallen(AKA eN.Jake), eN.Pinkkitty and eN.Divinedragon. eN had gone
from prosperous to manure in a matter of months. eN was in the grasp of
a vicious power struggle, everyone wanted power. eN.Apex and eN.Behfar
left the clan because of personal reasons. All hope seemed lost.
Restoration
November 2004 - January 2005
Apex and Behfar rejoined eN. Gribbleman had merged his clan with NuKe
then joined a reform clan with Mondale and Raynor. Apex was constantly
trying to get Gribbleman and Heaven to rejoin. They came up with the
perfect solution: Merge the reform clan with eN. The merge was a
success; eN now had a council of 5 members acting as the government.
The council members were eN.Apex, eN.Behfar, eN.Gribbleman, eN.Raynor
and eN.Mondale. They each lead their own departments (Recruiting,
Diplomacy, Recreation, Defense, and Website).
Democracy
February - May 2005
The council had decided to make eN a democratic clan. The process was
fairly simple. The clan advocated for elections. eN.Mondale wrote the
first draft of the constitution, eN.Heaven wrote the first draft of the
bill of rights. eN.Jnousky wrote the final drafts for both. The first
ever election was on April 16th, 2005, it ran extremely smoothly.
eN.Heaven was Elite Nation’s first ever president, with eN.StarLord as
his Vice President.
The Death of Democracy
July - August 2005
Elite Nation was still under eN.Heaven's command (Not that this has anything to do with the following events).
Many members were on vacation, those that stayed decided that
democracy was no longer beneficial for eN, the clan had been
concentrating too much on politics and not enough on gaming. eN.Mondale
quit the recruiting squad and was becomeing more and more inactive. It
was decided that eN become a dictatorship again; eN.Behfar was working
on a new site with eN.Raynor's assistance. Some of the most dedicated
members of eN quit the clan because of the recent member depression. eN
will attempt to return to democracy if it gets the members to support
it.
Dictatorship's Rebirth
August 2005
Elite Nation was now a full fledged dictatorship, actually,
trimumverate. The new website was up and running. The dictators were
eN.Behfar, eN.Raynor, and eN.Gribbleman. Up untill this point, the
trimumverate has been doing well. There were no more political issues
with eN. Elite Nation was doing pretty well except for the fact that
there were no/very little high ranked members, the leaders decided that
no matter what the case, a member would recieve a rank when (s)he
deserved it, no sooner. eN is growing rapidly. |
